BAC's Day, Elhaddad named AVCA All-America honorable mention

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Conference Carolinas had two individuals selected as American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America honorable mention. Caden Day and Jibriel Elhaddad of Belmont Abbey College were both honored.

AVCA RELEASE

Day was tabbed Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year and first team all-conference. He ranked fourth in the league with an average of 3.27 kills per set and ranked second with 337 total kills. He also posted a .297 attack percentage, ranking him seventh in the conference. Day eclipsed 10 kills in 17 matches, including a season-high of 19 on February 11 against Erskine College. He posted a season-high of 13 digs on April 19 in the conference championship match against the University of Mount Olive and added a season-high five blocks in the next match against Barton College.

Elhaddad garnered first team All-Conference Carolinas honors. He ranked second in Conference Carolinas with an attack percentage of .417 and fourth with an average of 0.97 blocks per set. His 99 total blocks ranked second in Conference Carolinas.

The selections were made by the 2026 AVCA National Collegiate Men's Volleyball All-America Committee: Jonathan Winder of Pepperdine (chair), Sam Albus of Lees-McRae, Brian Baise of Harvard, Karl France of Fairleigh Dickinson, Dan Friend of Lewis, Danny Goncalves of NJIT, John Hawks of UCLA, David Kniffin of UC Irvine, Thiago Lopes of St. Thomas Aquinas, Brad Rostratter of UC San Diego, Nickie Sanlin of McKendree, Derek Sullivan of Belmont Abbey, Ryan Thompson of Missouri S&T, and Devin Walker of Central State.
