FMU's Bussey III tabbed Player of the Year, among nine from Conference Carolinas to earn All-American honors from D2 Baseball

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas had nine individuals recognized when D2 Baseball announced their All-America selections on Monday. Francis Marion University’s Charlie Bussey III was selected Player of the Year to headline the selections.

D2 BASEBALL ANNOUNCEMENT

Bussey III, teammate Ethan McAnally, Landon Lucas of UNC Pembroke, Josh Foulks of North Greenville University and Joe Whitaker of Belmont Abbey College all earned first team honors. Belmont Abbey’s Caleb Burr garnered second team distinction.

Jack Enrico and Jackson Morgan of Young Harris College and North Greenville’s Caleb Cox earned third team honors.

D2 Baseball Criteria to be voted:
Offense:
  • Must have had at least 150 Plate Appearances
  • Designated Hitter: can be any offensive player
  • Utility: anyone who played at least two positions OR was a two-way player
Pitching:
  • Starters: Must have started at least 10 games this season
  • Relievers: Must have thrown at least 25 innings? this season

  • Spots with multiple positions are sorted alphabetically by last name, they are NOT ranked.
