GREENVILLE, S.C. – Young Harris College has been chosen by its peers as the 2025-26 Sports Medicine Staff of the Year in Conference Carolinas.
The 2025-26 Young Harris sports medicine staff was composed of athletic trainers, Zoe Hollowell, Madison Whitehead and Hayley Bennett.
“This recognition is a tremendous reflection of the commitment, professionalism, and care our athletic training staff brings to our student-athletes every single day," said Vice President for Student Engagement and Athletics, Emily Carella. "Their work often happens behind the scenes, but the impact they make on the health, safety, and success of our teams is immeasurable. We are incredibly proud to see them recognized by Conference Carolinas with this well-deserved honor, and grateful for the way they represent the values and excellence of the Mountain Lion community.”
The Sports Medicine Staff of the Year was voted on by the Athletic Trainers Committee (all member institution head athletic trainers) in Conference Carolinas.
“This is a well-deserved recognition for the Young Harris sports medicine staff,” Conference Carolinas Commissioner Chris Colvin said. “In a conference that is filled with outstanding athletic training and sports medicine staffs, it’s a wonderful honor for Young Harris. I also want to take the time to just say thank you to all of our athletic trainers and sports medicine staffs in Conference Carolinas. Their efforts are first-class and nothing could happen without their dedication and support to our student-athletes and member institutions.”
