Five softball programs, nearly 100 athletes recognized in Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Awards

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released the 2025-26 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete and Team Awards with five Conference Carolinas teams and 97 individuals earning recognition.

In all, 8,850 collegiate student-athletes were honored with 1, 869 coming from NCAA Division II.

Converse University, Francis Marion University, King University, UNC Pembroke and Shorter University all garnered 2025-26 Easton/NFCA Team GPA honors.

Individually, Young Harris College led the way with 25 recipients while Shorter followed with 18 Francis Marion added with 16. King added 14, UNC Pembroke 13 and Converse had 11 honorees.

The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association’s membership categories. NCAA Division I led the way with 2,637 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2025-26. NCAA Division III followed with 2,491 and NCAA Division II with 1,869. Junior colleges and NAIA came in with 1,190 and 655 student-athletes respectively. Seven student-athletes from Bay Path University earned recognition in the Other Four-Year category.

Team GPAs and scholar-athletes are submitted by member head coaches. High School team GPA winners and scholar-athletes will be announced on Sept. 9.
