Conference Carolinas Honors Spring Elite 23 Award Winners

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas recognized its spring Elite 23 Award winners on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. 

In men’s golf, Erskine’s Stokes Brownlee earned the honor with a 4.0 grade-point average. North Greenville’s Allison Avery garnered the honor in women’s golf with a 4.0 grade-point average.

In men’s tennis, King’s Sebastian Lieflaender collected the honor with a 4.0 grade-point average. Limestone’s Alison Walsh earned the honor in women’s tennis with a 4.0 grade-point average. 

King’s Trader Flora secured the honor in baseball with a 4.0 grade-point average, while Southern Wesleyan’s Kali Berrigan picked up the honor for the second straight year in softball with a 4.0 grade-point average. 

In men’s volleyball, King’s Mason McCrury earned the honor with a 4.0 grade-point average.

Limestone’s Maren Lawrence garnered the Elite 23 Award for women’s lacrosse with a 3.96 grade-point average. In men’s lacrosse, North Greenville’s Blake Thompson earned the honor for the second time in his career with a 4.0 grade-point average.

Mount Olive earned the honor in both men’s and women’s outdoor track & field with Jonathan Wojcuich leading the way in men’s outdoor track & field with a 3.989 grade-point average. Erin Dillon collected the honor in women’s outdoor track & field with a 4.0 grade-point average.

The Elite 23 Award honors Conference Carolinas student-athletes with the highest cumulative grade-point average at their respective championship site. The award is modeled after the NCAA's Elite 90 Award and it allows all student-athletes at the final championship site to win the award. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Conference Carolinas awarded the spring Elite 23 Awards to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average in each spring sport.
