Day Three Results
Team Scores Entering Championships Sunday
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The championships records continued to fall on Saturday at the 2020 Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center.
After three days of the action at the 2020 Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships, it is Emmanuel that narrowly holds the lead for the teams in both men’s and women’s swimming, but Barton is right behind them and within striking distance entering the final day of the championships on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020.
The conference championships that fell on Saturday were in the men’s 100 yard backstroke (Barton’s Bartlomiej Swiderski - 48.78), the women’s 100 yard breaststroke (Emmanuel’s Julia Simioni -1:05.01), the men’s 100 yard breaststroke (Emmanuel’s Joao Santos - 52.77) and the women’s 800 freestyle relay (Barton - 7:44.59).
The 2020 Conference Carolinas Men’s and Women’s Swimming Championships are being held in conjunction with the 2020 Bluegrass Mountain Conference Men’s and Women’s Swimming Championships.
Championships Sunday will include the 100 freestyle, the 200 backstroke, the 200 breaststroke, the 1650 freestyle and the 400 freestyle relay.
Conference Carolinas will crown a men’s and women’s team champion at the conclusion of all of the events on Sunday, Feb. 16.
