Limestone Holds on to Earn 2020 Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Championship Title

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The 2020 Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Tournament Championship game was one that will be remembered for a long time with fourth-seeded Limestone narrowly escaping second-seeded Barton, 67-65, on Sunday, March 8 at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium. 

Making its sixth appearance in the last eight years in the championship game, Limestone secured its fifth Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball championship title with the victory over Barton. 

Limestone (23-8) led by as many 13 in the game with 30 seconds left in the third quarter, but Barton (24-6) would battle its way back into things by outscoring Limestone, 21-10, in the fourth quarter. Limestone would hold on though for the thrilling two-point win (Box Score) and (Press Conference)
