Co-Players of the Year

Quentin Moore, Pfeiffer University- OH

In his first season on the court, Pfeiffer University’s Quentin Moore becomes the first-ever Player of the Year for the Pfeiffer men’s volleyball program. Moore led the team with 275 kills playing in 24 of 25 matches. Moore posted 16 matches with double-figure kills while posting a career-high 20 against Stevens Tech. Moore helped the Falcons claimed their first-ever regular season championship and will be the top seed in the upcoming league tournament.

Scott Warren, Limestone College- RS

A two-time Player of the Week selection this season, junior right side hitter Scott Warren has been one of the top players in Conference Carolinas all year. He is averaging 2.99 kills, 1.13 blocks, 0.23 service aces and 1.30 digs per set and he is third in the league in blocks and fifth in kills. In his first year in Gaffney, S.C., Warren has been a major reason for Limestone producing one of their best seasons.

Freshman of the Year

Joshua Jones, Lees-McRae College- MB

Joshua Jones put together an impressive rookie season for the Bobcats this spring, averaging 2.30 kills per set at the middle blocker position while attacking at a .388 clip. The Christmas, Fla. native paced the Bobcats in conference play with an average of nearly one block per set, posting 0.77 stuffs per frame. Jones currently ranks 25th in the nation in blocks per set (1.05).

Coach of the Year

Steve Bintz, Pfeiffer University

In just his first season as a head coach, Pfeiffer University’s Steve Bintz become the first men’s volleyball Coach of the Year in school history guiding the Falcons to a 19-6 overall record and their first regular season championship after a 9-1 mark in league play. Bintz helped turn around an eight-win team a year ago, winless in eight conference matches, into a potential 20-win team just a season later.
