A freshman from Winton, N.C., Lane is ranked No. 51 in the
nation by Golfstat among NCAA Division II women's golfers, the
highest ranking of any conference player. She finished in the top
five in five of 10 tournaments this year, including a first-place
finish in the Mount Olive College Spring Invitational to end the
regular season. Lane set a school record with an even-par 72 in the
first round of the Myrtle Beach Invitational in October

In his 10th year as head women's golf coach, Spiron has
guided Mount Olive to its first national ranking in the 11-year
history of the program. The Trojans are ranked No. 49 in the
Golfstat Division II Rankings. Mount Olive captured two team titles
in 2012-13, winning the King College Intercollegiate by 30 strokes
and the Mount Olive College Spring Invitational by 42
shots.
