Player of the Year:

Co-Player of the Year:

Shannon Bonnel – Pfeiffer

Shannon Bonnel recorded 32 goals with 16 assists in regular season play totaling 48 points as the Lady Falcons have put together the best season in school-history at 14-1. Bonnel completed her co-player of the year season adding 37 groundballs and 34 draw controls with 15 caused turnovers. During the 2013 season, Bonnel has made herself the second-highest scorer in school-history with 126 goals, up to seventh with 49 assists and third with 175 points.

Co-Player of the Year:

Sylvia Queener - Limestone

Senior attack Sylvia Queener has been one of the most explosive players in the league this season and is among the team leaders with 35 goals, 39 assists and 74 points. Entering the week she is fifth in the country in points, eighth in assists and is 36th in goals scored while ranking second in the conference in points and third in assists. This season she has scored at least three goals in seven games and had a minimum of three assists in six games.

 

Defender of the Year:

Katherine Athens - Pfeiffer

Katherine Athens has been named the league's best defensive player after picking up 44 groundballs in 2013 to go along with 26 caused turnovers and a massive 79 draw controls. Athens has catapulted herself into the school-record books becoming the all-time caused turnovers leader with 101 while jumping up to third all-time with 173 groundballs as a junior. Athens also added eight goals and three assists for good measure on offense. 

 

Freshman of the Year:

Mackenzie Miller – Belmont Abbey

Mackenzie Miller becomes the Abbey’s first Freshman of the Year honoree since 2007 as she finished her freshman year with 35 goals and two assists, despite missing the final two games of the regular season. Twelve of her goals came on free position strikes as she also scored a career-best seven goals on two occasions. Mackenzie scored 16 goals in conference play this year.

 

Coach of the Year:

Scott Tucker – Limestone

Limestone College head women's lacrosse coach Scott Tucker has helped lead the Saints to another tremendous season which has included a No. 2 national ranking, 14-1 overall record, perfect 7-0 league record and a ninth straight Conference Carolinas Regular Season Championship. Limestone enters the conference tournament as the No. 1 seed with 10 straight wins and an average of 16.13 goals per game. It is the seventh time Tucker has been named Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year, also winning the award in 2004, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2012.
