Belmont Abbey’s Wiedemann Named Week 11 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

             

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College attack Adam Wiedemann has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Apr. 17-23, the Conference announced today. This marks his third POTW honor and the fifth for Belmont Abbey.

Wiedemann, a junior from Caledon East, Ontario, posted 14 points (8g, 6a) last week in a pair of lopsided victories for the Crusaders. In a 21-5 win over Lees-McRae, he would score four times and dish one assist. Wiedemann would close the week with four goals and five assists in a 29-3 victory over Chowan.


Limestone’s Reisman Named Week 10 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

            

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College midfielder Kevin Reisman has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Apr. 10-16, the Conference announced today.

A senior from Wes Babylon, N.Y., Reisman went 29-for-39 on faceoffs and scooped up 19 ground balls in a pair of victories for the No. 1 Saints. He would scoop up 11 ground balls and go 13-for-21 in a 17-3 win over Queens, followed by an eight-ground ball and 16-for-18 faceoff performance in a 10-6 win over No. 11 Mount Olive.


Pfeiffer’s Nelson Named Week 9 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

           

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Pfeiffer University attack Jared Nelson has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Apr. 3-9, the Conference announced today.

Nelson, a freshman Vestal, N.Y., tied a Pfeiffer record that stood for 20 years by dishing out nine assists in the Falcons' 20-7 win over Emmanuel last week. He would also score two goals to finish the game with 11 points while adding three ground balls and three caused turnovers.


Limestone’s Reisman Named Week 8 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

          

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College midfielder Kevin Reisman has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Mar. 27 - Apr. 2., the Conference announced today.

A senior from West Babylon, N.Y., Reisman was dominant in the center 'X' all week, going 39-49 in faceoffs and scooping up 30 ground balls to go along with two points (1g, 1a).

In a 16-8 win over No. 9 Belmont Abbey, Reisman would notch a goal and assist while going 22-28 on faceoffs with 16 ground balls. In a 24-8 win over Pfeiffer, he would go 17-21 with 14 ground balls.


Limestone’s Higgins Named Week 7 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

         

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College midfielder Ben Higgins has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Mar. 20-26, the Conference announced today.

Higgins, a junior from Hampstead, Md., registered a career-high five goals and scooped up two ground balls to lead No. 2 Limestone to a 12-7 win over No. 4 Lindenwood.


Belmont Abbey’s Wiedemann Named Week 6 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

        

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College attack Adam Wiedemann has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Mar. 13-19, the Conference announced today. This marks Wiedemann's second POTW honor.

A junior from Caledon East, Ontario., Wiedemann put up five points (4g, 1a) on No. 9 Mount Olive to help the Crusaders to a lopsided 16-4 win.


Belmont Abbey’s Huss Named Week 5 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

       

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College midfielder Billy Huss has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Mar. 6-12, the Conference announced today.

A junior from Elk Grove, Calif., Huss tallied two points (1g, 1a) while going 12-23 in faceoffs with five ground balls to lead Belmont Abbey to an 11-9 win over No. 9 Tampa.

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College attack Adam Wiedemann has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 27 - Mar. 5, the Conference announced today.

Wiedemann, a junior from Caledon East, Ontario, collected 11 points (7g, 4 a) for the Crusaders last week and led them to a 2-0 record.

In a 14-6 win over then-No. 19 Queens, Wiedemann notched six points on three goals and three assists to go with three ground balls. As an encore, he would score four goals and hand out one helper to lead Belmont Abbey to an 18-8 conference win over Pfeiffer.


Belmont Abbey’s Whitham Named Week 3 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

     

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College goalie Harley Whitham has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 20-26, the Conference announced today.

A junior from Elk Grove, Calif., Whitham was outstanding between the pipes, as the Crusaders knocked off No. 11 Lake Erie, 15-4, last week. In the win, Whitham faced 21 shots and made 17 stops for an 81% save percentage.


Limestone’s Clancy Named Week 2 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

    

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College midfielder Chris Clancy has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 13-19, the Conference announced today.

Clancy, a senior from Peterborough, Ontario, tallied four points (1g, 3a), including the game-winner, in Limestone's 10-9 win over No. 9 Seton Hill. With 4.7 second left in regulation, Clancy worked around the cage and scored in the upper left corner of the net as the buzzer sounded.

A senior from West Babylon, N.Y., Reisman dominated the center 'X' in a 19-8 win over No. 14 Lenoir-Rhyne. Reisman finished the game 21-23 on faceoffs with 11 ground balls, including winning 19 straight faceoffs.
