Belmont Abbey’s Wiedemann Named Week 12 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

             

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College attack Adam Wiedemann has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Apr. 16-22, the Conference announced today. This marks Belmont Abbey's fourth POTW honor of the season.

A senior from Caledon East, Ontario, Wiedemann posted 12 points last week on six goals and six assists to lead the Crusaders to a share of the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse regular season title. In a 14-3 win over North Greenville, he netted three goals and an assist while scooping up seven ground balls. Wiedemann closed out the week with eight points (3g, 5a) in a 25-4 thumping of Lees-McRae.


Belmont Abbey’s Osborne Named Week 11 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

             

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College attack Liam Osborne has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Apr. 9-15, the Conference announced today. This marks Belmont Abbey's third POTW honor of the season.

Osborne, a junior from Bowmanville, Ontario, posted three goals and an assist last week to lead Belmont Abbey to a 14-10 win over Limestone. The win by the Crusaders handed the Saints only their second loss in Conference Carolinas history.


Lees-McRae’s Molander Named Week 10 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

             

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Lees-McRae College attack Alec Molander has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Apr. 2-8, the Conference announced today.

A junior from Victoria, British Columbia, Molander had a career day as he led the Bobcats to a 20-7 win over Emmanuel last week. He would tally 10 points on seven goals and three assists to go with eight ground balls and three caused turnovers. Molander's 10-point game would be a season-high, which put him over the career 100-goal mark and moved him into the No. 1 spot on the Lees-McRae all-time point list with 179 points (100g, 79a).


Chowan’s Alfonso Named Week 9 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

             

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Chowan University midfield Anthony Alfonso has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Mar. 26 - Apr. 1, the Conference announced today.

Alfonso, a senior from Port Charlotte, Fla., paced Chowan to a pair of wins last week with 14 points (11g, 3a), three ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Alfonso's week began with nine points on six goals and three assists to go along with three ground balls and one caused turnover in a 16-8 victory over Montevallo. He would then find the back of the net five times with one caused turnover in the Hawks' 16-9 conference win over Lees-McRae.


Belmont Abbey’s Harmon Named Week 8 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

             

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College midfield Dylan Harmon has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Mar. 19-25, the Conference announced today. This marks Belmont Abbey's second POTW honor this season.

A sophomore from Newark, N.Y., Harmon led Belmont Abbey to an 18-7 win over Chowan with his dominant performance at the 'X'. Harmon would win 22-of-26 faceoffs and scoop up 14 ground balls to lead the Crusaders to the conference victory.


Mount Olive’s Ball Named Week 7 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

             

HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive attack Jacob Ball has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Mar. 12-18, the Conference announced today. This marks Ball's second POTW honor and UMO's third overall of the season.

Ball, a senior from Newton, Conn., posted nine points (6g, 3a) and four ground balls on the week and led the No. 12 Trojans to a 3-0 record last week.

UMO picked up an 8-6 win over No. 19 UIndy to start the week with Ball registering four shots and one ground ball. He would notch three goals and one assist for four points with three ground balls in an 11-8 victory over Chowan. Ball would close out the week with five points on three goals and two assists in a 20-3 rout of Lees-McRae.


Limestone’s Solmosy Named Week 6 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

             

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College midfield Cody Solmosy has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Mar. 5-11, the Conference announced today.

A freshman from Farmingville, N.Y., Solmosy posted 10 points (9g, 1a) and two ground balls to lead the No. 14 Saints to a 2-0 record last week. Solmosy would tally six scores in a 17-6 win over Tusculum, while scoring a hat-trick and dishing one helper in a 16-11 victory over No. 13 Lindenwood.


Mount Olive’s Ball Named Week 5 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

             

HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive attack Jacob Ball has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 26 - Mar. 4, the Conference announced today. This marks UMO's second POTW honor this season.

Ball, a senior from Newtown, Conn., led the No. 16 Trojans to a 12-9 upset of No. 11 St. Leo last week, producing four points on three goals and an assist.


North Greenville’s Bryant Named Week 4 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

             

HIGH POINT, N.C. – North Greenville University midfield Logan Bryant has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 19-25, the Conference announced today. This marks NGU's second POTW honor this season.

A sophomore from Charleston, S.C., Bryant was the catalyst behind the Crusaders 10-9 win over Tusculum last week. He went 15-for-21 on faceoffs and scooped up nine ground balls to go along with two goals.


Mount Olive’s Urban Named Week 3 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

             

HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive goalie Will Urban has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 12-18, the Conference announced today.

Urban, a senior from Bel Air, Md., led the No. 11 Trojans to a 15-3 blowout victory over Catawba last week. In the win, Urban only allowed two goals for an 87.5 save percentage, while collecting 14 saves, three ground balls and causing one turnover in 55 minutes of action.


North Greenville’s Dixon Named Week 2 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

             

HIGH POINT, N.C. – North Greenville University attack Austin Dixon has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 5-11, the Conference announced today.

A sophomore senior from Simpsonville, S.C., Dixon notched 13 points (10g, 3a) on the week to lead NGU to its first-ever 2-0 start in program history.

In a 22-5 thumping of Shorter, Dixon scored five times and handed out three helpers to register eight points in the season opener. He would then score five more times in a 12-6 victory over Coker to close out the week.


Belmont Abbey’s Tanner Named Week 1 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

             

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College attack Callum Tanner has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 1-4, the Conference announced today.

Tanner, a senior from Victoria, British Columbia, netted five goals on six shots, including the game-winner, in the Crusaders' 8-7 double-overtime victory over Rollins.
