HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College's Federico Garnier was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Apr. 9-15, the Conference announced today. This marks Limestone's third POTW honor of the season

Garnier, a sophomore from Cordoba, Argentina, went a combined 6-0 last week and led the Saints to an undefeated 10-0 record in league play and a regular season Conference Carolinas title.

Limestone’s Neri Named Week 10 Men's Tennis Player of the Week

   

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College's Pierluigi Neri was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Apr. 2-8, the Conference announced today. This marks both Neri and Limestone's second POTW honor of the season

A sophomore from Bologna, Italy, Neri played almost exclusively in doubles last week, going 3-1 at the No. 3 flight. His lone singles match would be at the No. 6 flight, which was a 6-4, 6-0 win against Division I opponent USC Upstate. Neri's play helped keep Limestone undefeated atop the Conference Carolinas men's tennis standings.

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College's Zachary Blythe was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Mar. 26 - Apr. 1, the Conference announced today. This marks Belmont Abbey's third POTW honor of the season

Blythe, a sophomore from Fort Myers, Fla. went a combined 2-0 at both No. 2 singles and doubles flights for the Crusaders last week. His play led Belmont Abbey to a win over Mount Olive, which was the Trojans first league loss of the year.

North Greenville’s Moulod Named Week 8 Men's Tennis Player of the Week

   

HIGH POINT, N.C. – North Greenville University's Yannis Moulod was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Mar. 19-25, the Conference announced today.

A sophomore from the Ivory Coast, Moulod posted a 6-0 combined record for the Crusaders last week. He picked up a pair of non-conference wins to start his week and finished it with four wins against Conference Carolinas opponents King and Lees-McRae.

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College's George Barfoot was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Mar. 12-18, the Conference announced today. This marks Belmont Abbey's second POTW of the season.

Barfoot, a sophomore from Farnham, England, posted a 6-0 combined record for the Crusaders last week. He picked up a pair of non-conference wins to start his week and finished it with four wins against conference foes King and Lees-McRae.

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Chowan University's Ghassan Alansi was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Mar. 5-11, the Conference announced today.

A freshman from Sana'a, Yemen, Alansi posted a combined 5-3 record last week at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles against tough regional competition.

HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive's Armando Ferreira was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 26 - Mar. 4, the Conference announced today.

Ferreira, a freshman from Brazil, picked up four combined wins in Conference Carolinas play last week to lead the Trojans to a pair of league wins. Against Chowan, he would collect an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles, which was followed up by a 6-4, 6-4 victory at No. 1 singles. The week would conclude with a pair of wins against Erskine, as Ferreira posted an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles and a 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles.

Chowan’s Kaliakperov Named Week 4 Men's Tennis Player of the Week

   

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Chowan University's Adi Kaliakperov was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 19-25, the Conference announced today.

A junior from Shymkent, Kazakhstan, Kaliakperov picked up four wins last week to lead the Hawks to a pair of non-conference wins. Against Averett, he would notch an 8-0 victory at No. 1 doubles to go with a 6-2, 6-2 straight-set win at No. 2 singles. The week would conclude with a pair of wins at No. 1 doubles (8-3) and No. 2 singles (7-6 (6-0), 6-2) over West Virgina Wesleyan.

Neri, a sophomore from Bologna, Italy, compiled a 2-0 record last week for the Saints. He picked up a win at No. 3 doubles with a score of 8-3, while winning his match at No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-3.

Belmont Abbey’s Delaney Named Week 2 Men's Tennis Player of the Week

   

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College's James Delaney was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 5-11, the Conference announced today.

A senior from Kent, England, Delaney went 2-0 combined last week for the Crusaders against Augusta. His first win came at No. 1 doubles with a score of 8-2, which was followed by a straight-set win at No. 2 singles with a score of 7-6, 6-1.

Southern Wesleyan’s Bakker Named Week 1 Men's Tennis Player of the Week

   

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Southern Wesleyan University's Sam Bakker was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 1-4, the Conference announced today.

Bakker, a freshman from Utrecht, Netherlands, registered a 4-0 combined record during the opening week of competition. Against Anderson, he posted a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 5 singles and an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles. Bakker closed out the week with a 7-5, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles and 8-3 win No. 2 doubles against Brevard.
