Mount Olive's Tolston Named Week 11 Baseball Player of the Week

    

HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive's Gunner Tolston was tabbed the Conference Carolinas Baseball Player of the Week for games played Apr. 8-14.

Tolston, a junior from Swansboro, N.C., led Mount Olive to a 2-1 series win last week over then-No. 1 North Greenville. Tolston hit .545 with six hits, including five extra-base hits (2 2B, 3 HR), with five RBI and six runs scored. Tolston's best outing came in a 7-4 game one win, going 2-for-4 with one double and one homer with two RBI.


Southern Wesleyan's Patrick Named Week 10 Baseball Player of the Week

    

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Southern Wesleyan University's Devin Patrick was tabbed the Conference Carolinas Baseball Player of the Week for games played Apr. 1-7.

A junior from Centreville, Md., Patrick led the Warriors to a 3-1 record last week, which included two wins against then-No. 24 Mount Olive. Patrick hit .357 with five hits, including one double, with five RBI and three runs scored.


Mount Olive's Stone Named Week 9 Baseball Player of the Week

    

HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive's JT Stone was tabbed the Conference Carolinas Baseball Player of the Week for games played Mar. 25-31.

Stone, a sophomore from Fayetteville, N.C., led the Trojans to a 3-1 record last week, which included an 11-3 win over then-No. 8 Catawba. Stone hit .500 with seven hits, including three extra-base hits (2 2B, HR), with three RBI and four runs scored. Stone's best game came in the 11-3 win over Catawba, as he went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and one run scored.


Chowan's Lanier Named Week 8 Baseball Player of the Week

    

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Chowan University's Marquise Lanier was tabbed the Conference Carolinas Baseball Player of the Week for games played Mar. 18-24.

A senior from Warsaw, Va., Lanier paced the Hawks to a 2-2 record last week, which included a 2-1 series win over No. 17 Mount Olive in Conference Carolinas play. Lanier notched his second POTW award after hitting .500 with eight hits, including seven extra-base hits (2b, 6 HR), with 14 RBI and 11 runs scored. Lanier's best game came in a 13-6 game one win over Mount Olive, as he went 3-for-4 with two homers, four RBI and four runs scored.


North Greenville's Jones Named Week 7 Baseball Player of the Week

    

HIGH POINT, N.C. – North Greenville University's Utah Jones was tabbed the Conference Carolinas Baseball Player of the Week for games played Mar. 11-17.

Jones, a senior from Stillwater, Okla., Cornell led the Crusaders to a 6-0 record last week, which included a 4-0 mark in conference Carolinas play. Jones hit .400 with eight hits, including one double, with five RBI and six runs scored.


Limestone's Cornell Named Week 6 Baseball Player of the Week

    

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College's Alex Cornell was tabbed the Conference Carolinas Baseball Player of the Week for games played Mar. 4-10.

A junior from Columbia, Conn., Cornell led Limestone to a 2-1 record and series win over Conference Carolinas opponent Chowan. Cornell hit .333 with four hits, including three extra base hits (3 HR), with five RBI and three runs scored. Cornell's best performance came in a 17-1 game one win over Chowan in which he went 2-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI and two runs scored.


Chowan's Lanier Named Week 5 Baseball Player of the Week

    

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Chowan University's Marquise Lanier was tabbed the Conference Carolinas Baseball Player of the Week for games played Feb. 25 - Mar. 3.

Lanier, a senior from Warsaw, Va., guided Chowan to a 3-2 record last week against Conference Carolinas competition. Lanier hit .524 with 11 hits, including five extra base hits (4 2B, HR), with seven RBI and eight runs scored. Lanier's best performance came in a 10-1 win over King in which he went 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI and three runs scored.


Mount Olive's McLean Named Week 4 Baseball Player of the Week

    

HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive's Blake McLean was tabbed the Conference Carolinas Baseball Player of the Week for games played Feb. 18-24.

A sophomore from Pine Level, N.C., McLean led Mount Olive to a 2-0 record last week with a pair of wins over Conference Carolinas foe Limestone. McLean registered three hits, including one home run, with six RBI and three runs scored. McLean's best performance came in a 10-1 win over Limestone in which he went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI and two runs scored.


North Greenville's Faile Named Week 3 Baseball Player of the Week

    

HIGH POINT, N.C. – North Greenville University's John Michael Faile was tabbed the Conference Carolinas Baseball Player of the Week for games played Feb. 11-17.

Faile, a freshman from Boiling Springs, S.C., had a monster week at the plate and led No. 9 North Greenville to a 2-1 record in a three-game series against No. 18 Nova Southeastern. Faile tallied six hits, including four extra base hits (3 HR, 1 2B), with 13 RBI and three runs scored. Faile registered at least four RBI in each game, but his best performance came in a 10-1 win over NSU in which he went 2-for-3 with two home runs, four RBI and two runs scored.


Erskine's Yniesta Named Week 2 Baseball Player of the Week

    

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Erskine College's Drew Yniesta was tabbed the Conference Carolinas Baseball Player of the Week for games played Feb. 4-10.

A sophomore from North Charleston, S.C., Yniesta tallied nine hits and a .500 average at the plate to lead Erskine to a 4-0 record last week, which included a three-game series sweep of West Liberty. Yniesta registered five extra-base hits (2 HR, 2 2B, 3B), drove in 11 RBI and scored eight runs. Yniesta's best performance was in the Fleet's 15-6 game three rout against West Liberty, as he went 4-for-5 with a homer, a triple, four RBI and three runs scored.


Mount Olive's Mason Named Week 1 Baseball Player of the Week

    

HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive's Joe Mason was tabbed the Conference Carolinas Baseball Player of the Week for games played Feb. 1-3.

Mason, a junior from Morehead City, N.C., tallied eight hits and a .615 average at the plate to lead the No. 23 Trojans to a 3-0 record to open the season, which included a win over No. 2 Tampa. He collected four extra-base hits (3 HR, 2B) and drove in 11 RBI. Mason's best performance was in UMO's 17-4 blowout of Lander, as he went 2-for-5 with two homers and seven RBI.
