HIGH POINT, N.C. – No. 1 University of Mount Olive earned a bid to the 2017 NCAA Division II Baseball Championship, the NCAA announced Sunday (May 14) night.
The Trojans received the No. 1 seed in the Southeast Regional as an automatic qualifier after winning the 2017 Conference Carolinas Baseball Championship title and posting a 47-8 record during the season.
UMO will host the seven-team regional May 18-22, 2017, which will be played on the campus of Mount Olive at Scarborough Field in Mount Olive, N.C. UMO received a first-round bye as the host and will open regional play on Friday (May 19) at 3 p.m.
