HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College guard Kenny Hairston has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 10-12, the Conference announced today.
Hairston, a junior from Charlotte, N.C., led the Saints to a 2-0 record over the weekend in the Conference Carolinas/South Atlantic Conference Challenge. In the two victories, Hairston averaged 23 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
Against Wingate, Hairston poured in 22 points on 8-for-17 shooting, including 5-for-10 from three-point range. He would add four rebounds, two assists and one steal in the 87-74 win over the Bulldogs. As an encore, Hairston would continue his hot scoring against Mars Hill, as he dropped 24 points and dished out five assists to go with three boards and two steals in a 106-92 victory.
