HIGH POINT, N.C. – Emmanuel College had its name called and earned a bid to the 2019 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, the NCAA announced Sunday (Mar. 10) night.
Emmanuel enters the Southeast regional 25-9 and the recipient of an automatic qualifier after winning the 2019 Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Championship on Sunday (Mar. 10) afternoon. The Lions, who earned the No. 8 seed, will open the first round against No. 1 seed Queens University of Charlotte.
The Southeast regional will be played Mar. 16, 17 and 19 on the campus of Queens University of Charlotte.
Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 11 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, and Southern Wesleyan University.
