HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College guard Romeao Ferguson has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 19-25, the Conference announced today.
Ferguson, a sophomore from Burlington, N.C., averaged 18.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, two steals and 1.5 blocks en route to leading the Crusaders to a 2-0 record last week.
Ferguson stuffed his stat sheet in an 85-78 win over Johnson C. Smith, notching 21 points to go along with seven rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block. Ferguson would follow that performance with another good outing against No. 10 Queens, with the Crusaders coming away with a 76-55 rout of the Royals. He would score 16 points with six rebounds, two assists, tow steals and two blocks in the victory.
Ferguson currently averages 14.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 steals per game. His steals per game rank fourth in the league, while his rebounds and points per game rank seventh and ninth, respectively.

T.J. Sheppard (Limestone) - Averaged 20 points, six assists, six rebounds, two steals and one block in two games.
Bobby Stenborg (Barton) - Averaged 19 points, seven assists, four rebounds, and one steal in one game.
Jonathan Mebane (Mount Olive) - Averaged 23 points and two rebounds in one game.
Kendrick Colvin (Emmanuel) - Averaged 33 points, 19 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals in one game.
Roderick Howell (North Greenville) - Averaged 11 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and one assist in two games.
