Barton College's Hamm Represents Conference Carolinas as Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar

NORMAN, OKLA. - Conference Carolinas was represented by Barton College men's golfer Derek Hamm on the 2016-17 Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar Team, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced Wednesday (July 26).

To be eligible, an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 77.0 in NAIA and 79.0 in Division III, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.20. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.

In the classroom, Hamm holds a 3.89 cumulative grade point average while majoring in business administration. On the course, Hamm posted a 77.15 stroke average this past season over 20 competitive rounds in eight tournaments
