No. 7 Limestone's Season Ends in Second Round of 2017 NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship

HIGH POINT, N.C. – No. 7 Limestone College had its season end on Saturday (Nov. 11) afternoon in the second round of the 2017 NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship.

The Saints (15-3-2) played host to the first and second round of regionals after receiving the No. 1 seed in the Southeast Region as an automatic qualifier. The Saints battled No. 4 seed Young Harris, who beat Lenior-Rhyne in the first round as an at-large selection from the Peach Belt.

Young Harris would score a goal right before the break in the 45th minute to take a 1-0 lead into the half. The Mountain Lions would then add another goal in the 83rd minute to seal the victory, topping the Saints 2-0 in the match. Kristian Moore-Cowell led the attack with six shots, while Luca Thuyl placed a team-high three shots on goal.
