HIGH POINT, N.C. – Lees-McRae College midfielder Tom Deeley has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Sept. 4-10, the Conference announced today.
Deeley, a senior from Oxford, England, kept the Bobcats unbeaten (3-0-1) on the year after going 2-0-0 last week in matches against Carson-Newman and Barton. He would net two goals and dish out two assists for six points on the week.
In a 2-1 win over Carson-Newman, Deeley would notch one goal and one assist, with his goal proving to be the game-winner. He would close out the week with another three-point game (1g, 1a) in a 4-1 rout of Barton to open Conference play.
Deeley leads Conference Carolinas in points (13), goals (5) and game-winning goals (2), while ranking second in assists (3).
