Limestone's Thuyl Named Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.Limestone College midfielder Luca Thuyl has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Sept. 3-9, the Conference announced today.

Thuyl, a sophomore from Xanten, Germany, was in on both of No. 17 Limestone's goals, notching a goal and assist, in a 2-1 double-overtime win over Chowan in the Conference Carolinas opener. After the Saints went down 1-0 in the 65th minute, he delivered the equalizer less than two minutes later. Thuyl would then add the assist on the game-winner in the 107th minute to help Limestone stay perfect on the young season.

Thuyl currently ranks fourth in Conference Carolinas in assists (1), while ranking eighth in both points (3) and goals (1).

Noah Kendrick (North Greenville) - 15 saves in two matches.
Alfie Pope (Mount Olive) - Three points on one goal and one assist in two matches.
Nando Morales (Belmont Abbey) - Three points on one goal and one assist in two matches.
Pol Vassart (Lees-McRae) - Six points on three goals in two matches.
