HIGH POINT, N.C. – King University opposite Kiel Bell has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Jan. 4-7, the Conference announced today.
A senior from Boca Raton, Fla., Bell registered 35 kills for a 3.18 kills per set average on a .253 hitting percentage to lead King to a 1-2 opening weekend. He also added 23 digs for a 2.09 digs per set average, six blocks and two aces over the weekend.
In a 3-0 loss to No. 4 UCLA, Bell would be held to three kills, but added five digs, two blocks and a service ace. He bounced back with a 15 kills, five digs, two blocks and an ace in a 3-1 win against McKendree. In a 3-1 loss to UC San Diego, Bell collected a double-double of 17 kills and 13 digs with two blocks.
Bell ranks first in Conference Carolinas with 35 total kills, 3.18 kills per set, 23 total digs, while ranking third with 2.09 digs per set.
