HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College's Morgan Smith was named the Conference Carolinas Softball Player of the Week, while Limestone College's Sydney Sullivan was tabbed the Conference Carolinas Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played Feb. 1-3, the Conference announced today.
Smith, a junior from Aiken, S.C., hit .571 and put together a four-hit week with two extra-base hits (2 HR) and eight RBI to lead the Crusaders to a 2-0 opening weekend record. Her best performance was a 3-for-4 outing with two homers and seven RBI in a 17-0 victory over St. Andrews.
Sullivan, a redshirt freshman from Jefferson, S.C., made a statement in her first start back from a season-ending ACL injury in 2018 by tossing a no-hitter against St. Andrews. In the 7-0 win, Sullivan would strikeout 10 batters and issue three walks in seven innings of work.

Kali Berrigan (Southern Wesleyan) - Batted .500 with two hits.
Savannah Small (North Greenville) - Batted .500 with two hits and two RBI.
Vic Brewington (Limestone) - Batted .571 with four hits and five RBI.
Parker Birch (Erskine) - Batted .500 with three hits and one RBI.

Delanie Laudenbacher (Southern Wesleyan) - 0-1 record with eight innings pitched with three strikeouts and 2.63 ERA
Jaelin Griffin (North Greenville) - 1-0 record with seven innings pitched with seven strikeouts and 0.00 ERA
Ivorie Maltby (Belmont Abbey) - 1-0 record with four innings pitched with four strikeouts and 0.00 ERA
Morgan Hendrix (Erskine) - 1-0 record with seven innings pitched with 10 strikeouts and 2.00 ERA
