Belmont Abbey's Kuhlman Named Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.Belmont Abbey College guard Maria Kuhlman has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 20-26, the Conference announced today.

A freshman from Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Kuhlman led the Crusaders to a 60-49 non-conference win over Coker last week. In only 28 minutes, Kuhlman went 7-for-9 from the field, including 4-for-5 from three-point range and 2-for-2 from the charity stripe to notch 20 points. She would add five rebounds and an assist to her game totals.

Kuhlman currently ranks eighth in Conference Carolinas with a 14.6 points per game average, while ranking sixth in FG percentage (51) & 10th in 3PT percentage (40.6).
