HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College guard Keidra Smith has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 27 - Dec. 3, the Conference announced today. This marks Smith's second POTW honor of the season.
Smith, a senior from Mebane, N.C., averaged 23.5 points, nine rebounds, four assists, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks to propel Limestone to a pair of Conference Carolinas wins last week.
Smith fell four dimes short of a triple-double in an 80-59 win over Erskine, posting 23 points, 12 boards and six assists to go with three blocks and a steal. In the Division II Basketball Showcase on ESPN3, Smith would score 24 points to go with six boards, four assists and two steals in a 77-63 win over King.
Smith is currently averaging 18.5 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Her 9.8 rebounds per game rank third in Conference Carolinas, while her 18.5 points per game ranks fourth.
