Mount Olive's Withaar Named Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Player of the Week


HIGH POINT, N.C.University of Mount Olive forward Raven Withaar has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Aug. 27 - Sept. 2, the Conference announced today.

A junior from Plainfield, Ill.,Withaar was the offensive catalyst behind Mount Olive's 1-1 record last week after notching nine points on four goals and one assist. In an 8-0 win over Lincoln (Pa.), she would tie the school record with four goals and dish out one helper to tally nine points. Witharr would be held scoreless in UMO's loss to Newberry.

Withaar currently leads the Conference in points (9) and goals (4), while ranking second in assists (1).

 

Also nominated for Women's Soccer Player of the Week:
Hannah Logue (Emmanuel) - Four points on two goals in one match.
Allyson Elliott (Belmont Abbey) - Two points on one goal in one match.
Megan Biehl (North Greenville) - Three points on one goal and one assist in two matches. 
Megan O'Connor (Limestone) - Six points on hat-trick in one match.
