HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton College's Kleanza Cathers has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Swimmer of the Week for meets swam during the week of Oct. 30 - Nov. 5, the Conference announced today.
Cathers, a freshman from Kitimat, British Columbia, posted four top-three finishes for the Bulldogs in their dual meet against Catholic University of America. She would break two Barton school records in the 200 backstroke (2:13.56) and 200 individual medley (2:19.88), with both resulting in wins. She would also notch a win with a time of 11:10.38 in the 1000 freestyle. Cathers' last top-three finish came in the 200 freestyle relay, as she led her team to time of 1:42.43 and second-place overall.
