HIGH POINT, N.C. – Chowan University's Kjahna O has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Swimmer of the Week for meets swam during the week of Nov. 27 - Dec. 3, the Conference announced today. This marks her second SOTW of the season, making her the first Conference athlete to win multiple times.
A senior from Orlando, Fla., O posted a total of five school records, including four individual records, for the Hawks at the SCAD Invite. She would compete in the 200m (2:08.36) backstroke, the 200m (1:58.47), 500m (5:15.92) and 1650m (18:41.29) freestyles in her four individual record-setting events.
O's fifth record-setting performance would come in the 800m freestyle relay, as the team posted a time of 8:10.81. She would also compete in the 200m and 400m freestyle relays, finishing with times of 1:40.61 and 3:42.03, respectively.
