Mount Olive's Hanle Named Conference Carolinas Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.University of Mount Olive's Leah Hanle has been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for meets held Feb. 5 - Feb. 11, the Conference announced today.

Hanle, a sophomore from Lichtenstein, Germany, bettered her season-best time in the 3000 meter run this past weekend at the GVSU Big Meet.  Her time of 9:46.46, a national provisional qualifying mark, was good for 6th place in a field full of strong competitors.  Hanle's time has her sitting atop the Conference Carolinas leaderboard in that event and is currently the 15th-fastest in Division II.
