A Pair of Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Players Named to D2CCA All-Region Team

WINGATE, N.C. - Barton College's Kaytlin Elkins and Southern Wesleyan University's Paige O'Connor were Conference Carolinas' lone honorees on the 2017 Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-Southeast Region team, the Association announced today.

O'Connor was the 2017 Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year and a first team all-conference selection. She was second in Conference Carolinas with 3.88 kills per set, hitting .245 to go along with 1.53 digs per set.

Elkins was named the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year while also earning first team all-conference accolades and leading Barton to the regular season and tournament championships. She led the conference and the region with 4.41 kills per set, adding 2.10 digs per set while also ranking in the top 10 in the conference in aces.

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 11 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, and Southern Wesleyan University. Emmanuel College is currently completing the NCAA Membership Process and will be fully competing in league championships in the near future.
