Southern Wesleyan's O'Connor Named Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Southern Wesleyan University outside hitter Paige O'Connor has been named Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played during the week of Sept. 4-10, the Conference announced today.

A senior from Ada, Mich., O'Connor posted 65 kills for a 3.10 kills per set average and notched 31 digs and seven blocks to pace SWU over the weekend. Her play led the Warriors to a 3-2 record.

O'Connor posted double-digit kills and at least five digs in all but one contest. Her best performance came in a 3-1 win over Clark Atlanta as she barely missed out on a double-double with 20 kills and 9 digs.

O'Connor currently ranks first in Conference Carolinas in total points (127), while ranking second in total kills (112), sixth in kills per set (3.20) and seventh in total blocks (17).
