Conference Carolinas Cross Country Teams Eager for Southeast Regionals

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Conference Carolinas will send squads to the NCAA Division II Cross Country Southeast Regional Championships in Wingate, N.C. The Championships will take place on Saturday, Nov. 4 with the women's 6K at 9 a.m., followed by the men's 10K at 10:15 a.m.

Conference Carolinas currently has two men's team ranked in the Southeast Regiona. University of Mount Olive, the 2017 Conference Carolinas Champion, ranks first in the Southeast and also checks in at No. 5 in the nation. The Trojans will be looking to complete a three-peat in 2017 after winning the regional in 2015 and 2016. Lees-McRae College, who finished as the Conference Carolinas runner-up, sits in the No. 10 slot of the Southeast rankings.

On the women's side, Conference Carolinas is represented by one regionally ranked team. 2017 Conference Carolinas Champion Mount Olive sits second in the Southeast standings, while also being ranked No. 21 nationally.
