A sophomore from Cleveland, Georgia, Gensler finished last week with five points on two goals and an assist. Gensler started the week by scoring the first goal of what would turn out to be a title-clinching 4-1 conference win over Erskine at home on Oct. 11. The victory allowed the second-year program to win the regular-season title in Conference Carolinas men’s soccer. Gensler also assisted the second of the four goals in the match. Gensler scored the first goal in Converse’s 2-2 league tie at Mount Olive on Oct. 15. Gensler is presently tied for second overall in Conference Carolinas with eight goals on the season. He has scored a league-high tying seven of his eight goals in conference play.
