Da Silva finished first in all three of his events he participated in at the Emmanuel Fall Invite. He posted a top-10 time in NCAA Division II in the 100 freestyle with a 45.42. Da Silva also collected an NCAA Division II national qualifying time in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 54.70. The time for the freshman is presently the best in all of NCAA Division II according to swimcloud.com. In the 200 medley relay, Da Silva's split of 25.21in the breaststroke helped lead Emmanuel to first-place honors.
Da Silva finished first in six events and collected six meet-record times at the Sewanee Invitational. He finished first in the 50 breaststroke (25.86), the 100 individual medley (52.99), the 100 breaststroke (55.62) and the 200 breaststroke (2:04.77). Da Silva was also part of the 100 medley relay (46.60, splitting 11.21 on the breaststroke) and the 200 medley relay (1:33.60, splitting 25.80 on the breaststroke)-winning teams.
For his efforts, Da Silva was twice named Swimmer of the Week over the course of the first month of the season.
