A 6-foot-6 junior guard from Atlanta, Jones averaged 31.2 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in a 2-1 week for Emmanuel in Hawaii. He scored over 26 points in all three games. In Emmanuel’s narrow loss to Saint Martin’s on Saturday, Dec. 17, Jones finished with 26 points, six rebounds and two assists. He followed that up with a career-best performance in Emmanuel’s thrilling 105-98 win in overtime over Western Washington on Sunday, Dec. 19. Jones posted a double-double of a career-best 41 points to go along with 11 rebounds. He also had three assists and one steal. In Emmanuel’s 62-59 win over St. Edwards in Honolulu on Monday, Dec. 19, Jones ended his efforts with 28 points, seven rebounds to go with a steal and an assist. Jones presently leads Conference Carolinas, and is second in all of NCAA Division II, in points per game at 26.9 points per outing. He is among the top five in the league in assists per game (3.8) and is also in the top-10 in the league in steals per game at 1.7.
