A freshman from Whangarei, New Zealand, Hammond went undefeated in the doubles and singles sessions this past Saturday, as the Trojans secured a regional win over Lenoir-Rhyne, 4-3. In the first slot in doubles, Hammond and Guilherme Zotin de Oliveira posted a 6-3 win over Zachary Cox and Rufus Plane.
Mount Olive ultimately swept the doubles session to secure the point. Hammond followed up with a straight sets victory over Vadym Rogynskyi by a 6-1, 6-0 margin at No. 2 singles.
