A sophomore top/tumbler from Newport News, Virginia, Carson was instrumental in helping the Saints remain unbeaten (4-0) this season with a 266.060-247.405 win over No. 8 Converse on Friday, Feb. 24. It’s the third win over a ranked team this season for Limestone. Carson competed in 11 different heats throughout the meet including the team event.
She started the Saints off strong in the compulsory event competing in 3-of-4 heats and posting a pair of 9.9 scores in the compulsory pyramid and compulsory toss. Her performances helped the saints to achieve the highest compulsory total for the season in each heat as well as a total score of 38.00/40.00 overall.
Carson had a nearly perfect 9.95/10.0 in the 7-element acro heat and another near perfect score of a 9.95/10.0 in the open pyramid. She also competed in the open toss (8.7/9.5), the duo pass (8.9/9.6) and aerial pass (9.425/9.6).
Carson helped Limestone to a 266.060 total for the meet which is the highest Conference Carolinas team total score for the 2023 season.
