A 6-foot-5 senior thrower, Faison surpassed a pair of conference and school records in the initial outdoor meet of the year. In the shot put, he tossed a distance of 16.88 meters to eclipse his previous league record and take first place at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational. Faison also placed first overall in the discus throw with another conference record after posting a mark of 53.17 meters. Both distances achieved this past Saturday were NCAA provisional marks. He is the two-time defending league champion in the events.
