A sophomore base/tumbler from Peletier, North Carolina, King led the Saints to a pair of wins in a tri-meet on Wednesday, March 22 with a 256.875-247.980 win over Lander and a 256.875-240.045 victory against Emmanuel. This is King’s second honor of the season.
King competed in nine individual heats and the team event highlighted by a perfect 10 in the open pyramid. In the three compulsory heats, she recorded a 9.10 in acro, a 9.65 in pyramid and a 9.75 in toss. She added a 9.3 and a 9.5 in the 5 and 7 element acro heats, respectively and then posted scores of 9.95 in the inverted pyramid and a 9.9 in the synchronized pyramid. She also had an 8.6 out of 9.9 in the synchronized toss.
