A senior thrower from Clayton, North Carolina, Faison secured a first-place finish in the discus while competing at the Bill Carson Invitational, hosted by East Carolina. He delivered a toss of 53.05 meters to claim the individual title in the event in a field of 16 competitors. Faison holds the second-best mark in the country in the event at 54.60m set earlier this season.
