A freshman right-handed pitcher from Lutz, Florida, Stegura has become a solid go-to option out of the bullpen for the Belmont Abbey baseball team so far this season. He made a strong collegiate debut by striking out five in the series finale at Coker on Feb. 4. He also showed plenty of composure in the Feb. 11 game against Trevecca Nazarene. He entered the game with two runners on in a 7-7 tie in the ninth inning and later faced a bases-loaded situation but was able to work his way out of the jam without any runs allowed. Stegura pitched two more scoreless innings and earned the win when the Crusaders hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th.
Stegura closed the month with a 2-0 record in nine appearances. He pitched a total of 13 innings. Stegura held his opponents to a .174 batting average while striking out 15.
