A 6-foot-5 senior thrower from Clayton, North Carolina, Faison broke the conference and school record in the discus while also reaching an NCAA provisional standard after a toss of 56.05 meters. He placed second in a highly competitive field finishing behind Robbie Otal of Duke, who was an NCAA Division I USTFCCCA All-America recipient in the event in 2022. Faison continues to rank second in Division II in the discus and became just the second student-athlete to exceed 56.00 meters this season. He is the only thrower in the Southeast Region to hit an NCAA mark in the event this season.
