A sophomore from Sofia in Bulgaria, Borisov was a perfect 2-0 in both singles and doubles last week in a stellar week for the Lees-McRae men's tennis team.
Borisov paired with Martin Hlavacek for two wins at No. 1 doubles (6-2 at King and 6-2 versus No. 42 Francis Marion). In singles, Borisov first collected a 6-2, 6-0 win over King No. 1 Alex Sodre. He closed his impressive week in singles with a thrilling 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 win over Francis Marion No. 1 Liam Day.
Borisov is 9-1 in the spring season at No. 1 singles and has recorded nine consecutive wins at the top spot for the Bobcats. He has now been named Conference Carolinas men's tennis Player of the Week twice in the 2022-23 season.
