A senior from Sofia, Bulgaria, Karatantcheva went 3-0 at No. 1 singles and 2-1 at No. 2 doubles on the week.
At No. 2 doubles she teamed with Kim Venghaus and won 6-2 against Chowan on April 4, won 6-4 against Lees-McRae on April 7 and took a 4-6 loss against King on April 8.
At the top singles position she earned a 6-1, 6-2 win against Chowan, defeated Mei Hiramatsu of Lees-McRae 6-4, 6-4 and defeated King’s Deniz Aytun 6-0, 6-2.
