Sofia Altes of Erskine collected the best scoring average in Conference Carolinas over the course of this past week to garner women’s Golfer of the Week accolades.
A junior from Madrid, Spain, Altes posted a three-round score of 224 to finish in the top-20 at the Savannah Lakes Invitational at the par-72, 5,820-yard Monticello Golf Club in McCormick, South Carolina.
Altes collected back-to-back 76s in the first two rounds before carding a 72 in round three to finish with a 74.6 scoring average to finish 19th individually.
