A junior forward from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Gabriel Slemer Lopes of Barton finished last week with 10 points on three goals and four assists.
In Barton’s non-conference win over North Carolina Wesleyan on Sept. 27, Lopes scored once and assisted on two more goals in the 4-2 Bulldog victory. Lopes followed that up by scoring twice and assisting on two more goals in Barton’s 6-2 home conference win over King on Sept. 30.
Lopes leads all men’s soccer players in Conference Carolinas this season with six assists. He is tied for second in Conference Carolinas in all matches with 12 points on three goals and the six assists.
