A senior setter from Pickens, South Carolina, Kaylee Gillespie of Francis Marion averaged 12.27 assists and 2.82 digs per set in the three league wins last week for the Patriots. She also had seven kills, four blocks and three service aces.
In Francis Marion’s league win over Barton, Gillespie ended her efforts with 50 assists and 19 digs. She followed that up with 40 assists and seven digs in the three-set win over King. Gillespie closed out her week with 45 assists and five digs in the three-game win over Lees-McRae.
Gillespie claims the honor for the second straight week and the fourth time this season. She is second in Conference Carolinas matches with 11.36 assists per set.
