A freshman guard from Huntersville, North Carolina, Janiah Shular of Belmont Abbey averaged 7.43 points and 4.29 rebounds during the opening month of the season.
Shular finished her efforts in double figures in four games over the course of the month, which included picking up her first double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds in a non-conference victory over Rollins. Named the Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week once in the month of November, Shuler ended the month with seven steals and two blocks. She had four steals in a season-opening win over Mars Hill.
