A senior guard from Atlanta, KJ Jones II of Emmanuel averaged 32 points, six assists and 4.5 rebounds in two wins last week.
In Emmanuel’s home non-conference victory over Georgia College on Dec. 6, Jones finished his efforts with 32 points, six rebounds, three assists and one steal. He shot 53 percent (9-of-17) from the field and was a perfect 12-of-12 at the free throw line. Jones followed up that performance with 32 points, nine assists, three rebounds and two steals in a conference victory over North Greenville. He connected on 11 of his 19 field goal attempts (58 percent) and nine of his 10 (90 percent) free throw attempts in the win.
Jones currently leads Conference Carolinas and is in the top-5 nationally with 24.9 points per game. He has now picked up weekly honors from Conference Carolinas twice in the 2023-24 season.
